Homes of Hope for Children - Jones Concrete truck! We have been voting everyday and hopefully it will pay off tomorrow at 11 pm voting will close. HOHFC is currently serving children in the Boys Cottage and with the help of Pepsi, they will be able to serve more children very soon!!
James and Jessica's going away party was a Country Western theme, so naturally John and I were totally excited about getting dressed up for the night! Troy and John were a sight for sore eyes!

God Bless America!! The land that I love.....God has truely blessed us this year!

I'm not even going to acknowledge how terrible of a blogger I am, but I am going to do better! I had to post a few pics to catch up, pretty sad that no one has missed out on much of my life since 9 months ago when I last posted! ha! More to come...I don't want to over-do it on my first post of the year!

It was a little wet, but we went to the MSU v LSU game this past weekend and had so much fun! The campus is so pretty! This was my 1st trip back to Starkville in like 3 years. We checked out the new Barnes & Nobles (bought some ponchos!) and the "function." I was looking for Jennifer and told her I was right my where the function used to me. And she informed me that the whole tailgate area is now called The Junction...I guess it's kind of like The Grove, but much much cooler! I am so glad we made the last minute decision to go! We decided at like 4 pm on Friday that we were going to drive to Tuscaloosa so Mimi and Papa Jim could watch her while we went to Starkville for the game. It was a much needed retreat for John and I.
We crashed the Kent tailgate! And it was done right! BBQ, cheese.....it doesn't get much better than that! Those are my favorites!
We had to visit Mugshots while we were there! Since Chase was mad at me for not calling until I was already in Starkville, I had to come make it up to him!
Anyways, we had a great time! Hopefully we can make some more games soon......

I just had to put this pic of Uncle Troy (soon to be Daddy) with JT and Maddy climbing all over him at lunch after church last Sunday. He is getting ready! And we don't mind handing the kiddos off to him ;) Our good friends Emily and Troy are having a baby and we are probably just as excited about it as they are! Emily told us by asking Maddy is she was ready for a little friend to play with! We are so happy for yall!!!
Maddy made her 1st appearance at the USM game this past weekend and of coarse we had to go get her a USM tutu before the game! She had a great time and so did we!

I am the worlds worst blogger! I am sorry about that! I feel bad especially when I saw that my last blog was a month ago!

Update on life: Maddy is growing like a weed! She will be walking by the time I update the blog again...haha! (she probably will be!) John is so excited about bow hunting season coming up in a couple of weeks. I'm getting excited about the Holidays already! I LOVE Christmas and Thanksgiving! and the food! ;)

Good Weekend at Home!

We had a great family weekend. We haven't had one of these in a while! And got a front porch swing! yaaaaay! I have been talking about a front porch swing for like 2 years (literally). I really wanted to the Chesapeak swing from Pottery Barn last year, but it was like $1000! So, we kind of riped off the idea from them (I steal their ideas all the time). We stained it dark and used white rope instead of chains. I think its I pretty dang good knock off!

Anyways, we got a swing and then went to Lowe's and bought some stuff to finish up some things we needed to on the house and Maddy went along all day! Very proud of her!

Maddy is super awesome these days. She is so happy and learning to crawl and walk and talk. She said momma the other day, but I think she was just saying it so I would quit saying it all up in her face :) It's just so not fair that she always says Dada! Here is a video of her playing in our bathroom. We were saying the other day that it seems like this is her house she just lets us use parts of it sometimes. We have her stuff set up all over the place!

Well, I have really out done myself tonight with the blog so I better call it a night! ha! I will try to update more often. We have had serious (and very annoying) internet problems at our house in the past 4 months!

Maddy got her 1st tooth!

Does the tooth fairy come when kids get teeth? I am so proud of my little girls 1st tooth! We have been waiting for a long long time! We thought she was teething when we was like 3 months old....now 5 months later, she got one! Now, we are working on crawling! She is rolling over like a champ, but I'm afraid she has not shown any real hopes of crawling. She looks like she is swimming when she wants to get somewhere and then she will end up rolling on over there.

HAPPY 32nd BIRTHDAY TO JOHN! (yesterday)

We are headed to Flint Creek on Friday for some camping activity (in a cabin of coarse!). John is getting all geared up for it! I bet he has been at Big Buck everyday this week looking for something he might NEED. haha!

I will be sure to update with some pics after the trip!

I'm so sorry about not posting in so long! We have been very busy around our house lately. I wanted to put up some pics of Seattle. John and I went for John's CE to the AVMA conference. It was a really good get away for us. Except we missed Maddy too much! But Jamie called while we were there and said that an episode of Drive-ins, Diners, and Dives had this amazing greek restaurant on it in Seattle and that we should go. So, we did! and it was goooooood! Well, Jamie actually said that we had to go and that her mouth was watering while she was watching it! haha! She is so dramatic when it comes to food, but she was right. I also put a pic of the streets.....ummm pretty much all the hills were like the stairmaster on level 8! so, even though we ate good, we worked it off walking. We also went to the flying fish market and it was really cool. This lady took that pic of us and its terrible, but I still wanted to show everyone that we went and it was cool.

Well, I hate to cut this blog short since it's been so long since I updated, but I have to go meet the at&t guy at my house to get the internet working...hopefully!

My very 1st blog experience!!! Here is a pic of the Mayfield family at the beach in Fort Morgan for Memorial Day week with the whole Mayfield family! Maddy loves being outside (like her daddy) so the beach was great!

Maddy is now 6 months and 2 weeks! and growing up so fast!

Anyway, I will try to keep this thing updated, but I'm not making any promises....I wouldn't want to let anyone down!

Here is a little bit of what is going on right now in our lives. We just moved into our new house in Bellegrass and we are loving it! Its so great to not have to live out of boxes anymore! Tatum and Will are finishing up their house right down the street hopefully in the next 2 weeks because baby Rhen is coming on June 26th. Also on the same weekend, Austin & Reagyn are getting married!!!!! I never thought Austin would find a girl to put up with him for a long while! and what seems like over night he met Reagyn and here we are! God is good is all I have to say about that! I am super excited about the wedding festivities though. I love it when the family gets together for a party!

Buddy is going to Doggy Day Care up at the clinic and he loves it! It's great because they wear him out! He is asleep before he gets home!
